Howdy, and welcome to our home. I'm here to help you lose weight. All of the resources you find here are free for you to use at your leisure. The goal here is to make the world a better place one person at a time.

Who am I?

My name is Lloyd Lawrence. I live in the Phoenix, Arizona suburb of Surprise, and I spent quite a long time being morbidly obese. I used all of the typical excuses that people use for being fat, and while I don't mean to minimize your struggles, I suspect that I could have been wrong about my weight for years. I am not yet to my own personal goal, but since reaching a top weight of 440 pounds, I've lost 192 pounds, and that number continues to grow.

It's important to know that I am not a dietician nor am I certified in fitness training in any way. I am just someone who has seen success and want to share my ideas with others. I won't knowingly give you bad advice, but I also don't claim to know everything about the subject.

How can I help you? Well, losing that weight did not include scouring the aisles of my grocery store for the perfect foods because I lead a rather active life. Instead, I spent day after day eating at restaurants. Not health food restaurants, but everyday places as mundane as the local McDonald's to the incredible delights of Fleming's. I don't even tend to eat the items identified as healthy choices on their menus, not because I avoid them, but because I know that if I don't enjoy the food I eat, I won't keep this up.

As the site's name indicates, though, food is only half of the equation. Exercise has been a vital component of my program from the start.

This site will be a work in progress for some time to come. For the moment, you really just have this landing page and a couple of others, but in time, I expect that it can grow to a community of like-minded people who want to make the world a better place too. Let's just start with you.
